J Vineyards & Winery is looking for an experienced Line Cook to help during our seasonal period. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 plus years of experience working in a restaurant kitchen.
Responsibilities and Qualifications follow:
-Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced kitchen environment within a team -Ability to prepare quality dishes in a fast and consistent manner -Ability to prepare food according to Chef's requirements -May include other responsibilities within the scope of Line Cook such as, label and date all food stored; rotate food as needed; keep area clean, stocked and organized -Follow opening and closing procedures -Knowledge of cooking procedures -Ability to communicate with other kitchen and hospitality staff -Ability to follow written and verbal instruction -Knowledge of kitchen equipment and the safety rules for such equipment -Must be flexible with job duties -Obtain/have State Food Handlers certification -Must be able to work all shifts and holidays -Ability to successfully multi-task, focus on details and switch gears quickly -Must be energetic and a self-starter -Must be able to stand, walk for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs. and do repetitive work -Be able to self-motivate in work environment
Full-time seasonal (approximately May through November); Days Wednesday through Sunday; Hours 10AM-6:30PM hours will vary may need to work an occasional evening for special events.
