Position Description:
dynamic 50 seat restaurant that offers diners local & seasonal fare is seeking friendly, knowledgeable, excellence-oriented line cooks with a passion for food and interest in and commitment to local and sustainable ingredients to join our team. We offer a positive and TEAM-oriented kitchen environment and opportunities for professional growth.
Must have 2 years NYC kitchen experience, fine technical/practical knife skills and experience on all stations. All candidates should have their own professional tools and the know-how to employ them. Candidates must possess a sense of urgency, accountability, positive attitude, demonstrate an ability to work well within a team environment and high standards of personal excellence. Candidates must be able maintain clean & organized stations, follow directions, have flexible availability, work in a fast paced kitchen with a commitment to teamwork, quality & consistency. You need to have NYC food handlers certificate and be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication (bi-lingual in Spanish a plus not necessary). You must be able to work cleanly, efficiently and with respect for quality ingredients and careful attention to preparation.
