Executive Chef of Culinary Operations

Position Description:Primary Function:
The Executive Chef of Culinary Operations provides overall direction and management for the food and beverage operations of the District. This individual will collaborate with other managers and will establish operating and fiscal targets under the direction of the Director of Culinary Arts. This position will provide leadership in the teaching restaurant to both Back of the House and Front of the House operations. This position will also manage the operations of the retail bakery/pastry outlet and all food service operations of the District. The Executive Chef of Culinary Operations is considered a leader for the school, students, and staff.

Secondary Function:
The Executive Chef of Culinary Operations will have leadership responsibilities for the Culinary Arts program. The individual will serve on the Culinary Arts Advisory Committee and provide support to the faculty and students. This position will support the mission of the District and assist students for success in the program and the workforce. The Executive Chef of Culinary Operations will provide over-all leadership in the absence of the Director of Culinary Arts.

Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Culinary Arts or certification such as CEC or other industry qualifications highly preferred. Bachelor Degree in food related field preferred. This individual may currently be a culinary educator or currently employed in the culinary industry. The candidate must have a minimum of six (6) years experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine. In addition, the candidate must have experience managing multiple outlets.

Organizational Relationship:
Full-time, personnel position directly responsible to the Director of Culinary Arts with reviews conducted annually.

Length of Contract:
12-month contract subject to annual renewal.

Base Salary: $46,780-$64,660 based on qualifications and experience.
