Position Description:
You would supervise two kitchen assistants and be in charge of preparing three meals per day. Lodge capacity is 14 guests with 9 staff members. Lodge operates 7 days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS: You must be a Culinary Arts School Graduate with experience in preparing gourmet meals. Friendly and outgoing; strong work ethic with pride in producing outstanding meals and professional presentation; organized and well groomed; adaptable to working in a remote environment. This job is particularly well suited for the professional chef who enjoys outdoor activities, fishing, preparing fresh caught salmon shore lunches. You will be in charge of ordering all fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and other groceries that are delivered directly to the lodge every Saturday via aircraft from Anchorage.
KITCHEN EQUIPMENT: Commercial 4-burner stove and oven; commercial flat grill and vent-a-hood; Quisinart blender; Kitchen Aid mixer; stainless steel work surfaces; commercial cooking utensils; walk-in-cooler; upright freezer; blast freezer and commercial Hobart vacuum packer.
LIVING CONDITIONS: The lodge is remote but very functional and comfortable. Guests are housed in full service cabins complete with private bath. No more than two guests per cabin. Guides and staff members reside in large staff building. Head chef has private bedroom and bath. High speed Internet and satellite telephone on site.
