Adjunct Instructor - Culinary Department The Art Institute - Austin
The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Austin is currently seeking an adjunct instructor for the Culinary department. The instructor facilitates meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively supports all facets of the learning environment. He or she provides education through learning-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace, and encourages a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning and ethics as well as personal and professional development.
Candidates must have a Bachelor?s degree, Masters is preferred, with an Associates of Applied Science, ACF credentialed is preferred and have at least three years in the industry. Candidates need strong techincal and cooking skills. They must be flexible to accommodate course offerings including evening and weekend hours.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations is required, as are outstanding conflict resolution skills, and demonstrated skills in both time management and attention to detail.
